Description
Team Sorting is front and centre to kick off Friday Night at the 2012 Grand Valley Rodeo!
Up to 30 Teams will have the opportunity to sort 5-times, and it's draw partner... you never know what comprised team will sort on top.
It's fast paced for the experienced and a good starting ground for the newbies... Team Sorting is the "Little Sister" of Team Penning.
At the beginning, there are eleven calves at the end of one of the pens with numbers on their sides for identification. The judge raises the flag and when the riders cross the gap between the two pens the clock starts and the competition begins.[1]The judge raises the flag and when the riders cross the gap between the two pens the clock starts and the competition begins. The team of two riders have to move the cattle one at a time from one pen to the other in numerical order, starting with a random number called by the judge. The fastest time wins. If a calf gets from one pen to the other out of order, then the team is disqualified.

Grand Valley Rodeo will be held in Grand Valley, Ontario, 3 km west of town on Concession Road 2.

From Arthur – Travel County Road 109 East to East Luther Sideroad 24-25 & turn left. Travel approx. 2.5 km North to Con 2-3 and turn right) .
From Orangeville – Travel County Road 109 West to East to East Luther Sideroad 24-25 turn right. Travel approx. 2.5 km North to Con 2-3 and turn right) .
From Mount Forest -Travel Hwy 89 East to Conn (Wellington Road 14). Turn right. Travel approx 16.5 kms to Line 2 and turn left. Rodeo is 14.5 km on the right.
From Shelburne – Travel Hwy 89 West to Hwy/Regional Road 25. Turn left and travel to Grand Valley. At Amaranth St. (Chop House restaurant on SW corner) turn right (road changes to Con 2-3). Travel approx 3 kms. Rodeo is on the left.

- 60 minute drive from Guelph, Brampton, Newmarket, Barrie, Walkerton, Kitchener-Waterloo area
Watch for signs that say “RODEO…Ride on Over” on all major local highways.
Campers, please enter campground from East Luther sideroad 24-25.
Competitors to enter grounds from East Luther Con 2-3.
Spectators and party goers to enter parking lot located off of East Luther Con 2-3.
Please respect other drivers and be patient. Be aware some of the competitors will be hauling animals!!
