Getting set for a Tweetup!

A TweetUp at the big NYE Rodeo and BX 93 Video Dance at REACH HuronWith the upcoming IPRA-ORA Rodeo and BX 93 Video Dance Party at REACH Huron this December 31st, 2011, I'm looking to stage a TweetUp to engage with the peeps at the event.

Twitter is an underused medium in Canada, and I think by staging an event such as this, we could definitely garner more people as part of the twitterati!

The premise: to scout and invite twitter power-users to the event on NYE, and create a means for tweeple to actually meet face-to-face. Collect twitter names and assign twitter name-tags a-la-"Hi My Name Is", and tweet them like a "Follow-Friday".  Then, throughout the Rodeo Show and BX 93 Video Dance Party, engage the attendees and the followers through hashtag driven conversations (#NYErodeo), and contesting through periodic trivia questions.

This will be the first of it's kind...a high-tech redneck revolution!
