The JSDC Media Team will work with you to write, create, produce and record a custom introduction to your rodeo or event.
Why a JSDC Custom Produced Intro?
First off, the team uses BIG VOICES, HIT MUSIC, and amazing sound effects. These items aren't usually available for an opening, atleast mixed together on the fly.
Ever have a huge pyro intro, and the announcer mixes it up? Or, the gates open for grand entry, and the colour guard is still in the warm-up pen? With a JSDC Custom Produced Intro the people that need to know the cues can hear it over and over again and memorize them...it'll always be the same!
How is it really different?
Watch any PRCA Rodeo or PBR Event, and you'll hear urban and rock music. This genre of music is designed to blend together, and can be stretched, looped, stuttered and mixed a number of different ways. The JSDC Team consists of Live Club DJ's who mix this music "on the fly" and know what sounds good with what. The difference is the JSDC Team takes the music to the next level, as opposed to just starting and stopping it. It gets re-edited and sampled to make a unique soundtrack for your show.
In addition, a lot of rodeo announcers are from the Southern States, and have thick accents; the JSDC team uses RADIO Announcers from the largest market in Canada, Toronto, meaning no drawl, just booming, crystal clear enunciated reads. Watch an episode of "Friends" and compare it to an episode of "Blue Collar TV"...
What else can it do for me?
The intros can be designed with "Doughnuts", so all the announcer/soundman has to do is press play once. The big "Welcome" will come on, and then there'll be a break for the announcer to say, "Are you ready to rodeo?!", and then the next song will start for the gates to open. Plus, every announcer likes to hear their name...how about having a big booming voice say, "Here's your announcer..."
Is that all the JSDC Team Does?
The JSDC Team is a full live event production team. Whatever you want pre-recorded and produced, the team will do it for you. Want a big voice to say, "Bareback Bronc Riding, Sponsored by McDonalds, I'm Lovin' It"? Want a "sounder" for every event? Anything you want, we can do.
How long will it take?
It all depends on the project. If a script is already written, then an mp3 could be sitting in your e-mail in less than 24 hours! We like to do a 4 step approval process, and haven't had a project last longer than 5 days from start to finish.
Where has this been done?
The JSDC crew has created intros for rodeos in Central Canada and the Northern US. To give you an idea of what we're all about, click the OFR Link to hear the intro for the Ontario Finals Rodeo. It's a basic intro that was put together for a one-time use and demonstrates songs being clipped, sampled, stretched, mixed, and of course one of the top voice-over announcers on our team. At this time, Exclusivity is on a State / Province basis at no charge, however, Association Exclusivity is another option.
Lastly, how much will it cost?
There isn't a set rate per intro; it will depend on the number of songs desired, effects, length of script, creative writing time, production time, etc.
